This weekend, December 17, 18 & 19, Paramaribo has its first Artmarket: “Paramaribo’s newest market full of unexpected treasures, young edgy designers, cocktails & sushi and specialized arts and crafts products“. A group of young, alternative, non-mainstream artists decided that it was time for something new. In De Hal, Paramaribo’s great new venue, they present a refreshing new world of art, craft, sound & taste.
Artmarket pioneers: Roberto Tjon a Meeuw – furniture and objects of scrap material, Next level art – video art, Gloria – Ann Jap – objects made of natural materials, beJules – jewelry art, Purcy Tjin – paintings and heads of clay, Cheryl Ceder – bags, Giselle Sumter – jewelry design, Roetoe Ravales – Dobru t-shirts, Henry Lamijo – children’s furniture, Aston Brielle & Cedric Cooman – neon art and photoshop, Ellen Ligteringen – cacao and art, Jon Tjen Tin Koei – chocolate fountain.
Dj EarldaPearl’s sounds & beats can be enjoyed while strolling around. And food for the soul: sushi by Christian Liauw , wholesome soups by Bryan Spong, a juicebar and a cocktailbar.
